Nass Family: Charlotte's first real snow experience

A couple of weekends ago, we made the trip over the pass to visit Uncle Spoon. We crashed at his house for a couple of nights, his room-mates are awesome to let us take over the house with a toddler and furr-ball. The snow wasn't exactly great to hit the slopes, so our only trip to the mountain was to try sledding. We bought a new sled, got all bundled up, drove toward Bachelor, hiked up the hill, and Char was not happy about it one bit. It was pretty windy and freeking cold, so I can't blame her. We lasted about 10 minutes outside, then it was back to Uncle Spoon's house. It wasn't so bad that she was screaming or terribly upset, she just was not having fun. But, being the true get back up and try again parents that we are, we went back the next day. Char still wasn't a fan but this time she LOVED watching one of us go down the hill as long as she was being held by the other. It was actually pretty fun, the snow was perfect for sledding - a sheet of ice covered in about 2 inches of new snow. You could get going pretty fast! My favorite line from the weekend - me "Char, did you like sledding? Would you like to come back and do it again?", Char "No, thank you." Below are some pics of us trying to make it fun.

She would NOT let me take off any of her snow gear - had to cinch her in pretty tight. And as always, Sophie is by her side.

And lastly, we had a fabulous breakfast at Victorian Cafe (highly recommended) where we all relaxed over yummy food and fantastic beverages. It was fun sitting outside in the cold with the fire going, even Char enjoyed it.
